This collection is personal. 🇺🇸

I came to the United States from Perú. Before I arrived, I learned English — because in Peru, we know that speaking two or three languages opens doors. When I got here, the university required English or Mandarin because of international trade. I came prepared, with respect, and with a dream.

My husband and my kids were born here. This is their country. And it became mine too — not just on paper, but in my heart.

I love the traditions. The food. The landscapes. The incredible nature. The Indigenous cultures — their belief in spirits, their connection to the land — resonates deeply with me. Maybe because my sign is the horse, and I am free in spirit. But I also respect the law. Because that balance — freedom and responsibility — is what makes this nation work.

I think about it this way: if someone went to our country and tried to impose their language or change our food, we would protest. We would strike. So when I came here, I did the opposite. I learned the language. I embraced the culture. I celebrated alongside everyone else.

Because this country gives opportunities to people from every background. Every culture. Every language. And in 2026, we celebrate 250 years of that freedom together.
